Galen Williams is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of Colorado. Galen holds an accredited Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (MTCM, 1995) from Five Branches Institute, and holds diplomates in both Acupuncture (Dipl Ac) and Chinese Herbal Medicine (Dipl CH) from the _National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is a member of the Chinese Herb Academy, an international organization of Chinese herbal medicine professionals. She is on the advisory board of HealthCMi, a provider of acupuncture and nursing continuing education. She practices traditional Chinese medicine, including Chinese herbal medicine, as well as channel- and Tong-style acupuncture. Galen has also studied Richard Tan’s Balance Method system of acupuncture, which incorporates both channel and Tong-style theory.
Galen’s post-graduate training includes pain management, women’s medicine, chronic disease care including allergies and immune challenges, stress and sleep disorders, and wellness care. She was one of the first candidates to earn the NCCAOM’s Diplomate in Chinese Herbology. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys gardening, cooking, music, hiking and reading, and getting to know her new home in the Grand Valley.
